Motherwell's 28-year-old winger Calvin Miller has urged Hearts fans to be patient with the team's new system and style of play, which is still bedding in after a 6-0 aggregate defeat to Sturm Graz. The team is still adjusting to the Belgian's brave, possession-based attacking philosophy, which has brought two ties against Graz where the Jambos enjoyed the vast majority of the ball but ended up on the end of a record Euro defeat across two legs. Miller is well aware that the expectation levels in Gorgie mean results are required now, but he reckons there's very recent proof that patience with the attacking gameplan will reap rewards in the Premiership. Under Jens Berthel Askou, the Steelmen tore up the script and revolutionised their style of play to win admirers and blitz their way into Europe. Yet they had to overcome a start which saw them win only one of their opening eight league games as the system bedded in. Miller knows that could never be acceptable at Hearts, but by the same token, he reckons it's a sign to believe in the blueprint. The team is currently 16 points behind leaders Heart of Midlothian in the title race and has scored 52 goals this season, conceding 29. Their next fixture is against Celtic at home on August 14. Miller is confident that the team will hit the ground running and get a result at Pittodrie, and he is urging fans to be patient and believe in the system.
